I haven't been this close to the Opear House in over 20 years. It's beautiful enough from a distance but the almost equally spectacular Harbour Bridge does split one's attention. Up close it seems like a hibernating animal, still but sentient. Quite a feat for a monument Robert Frith Acorn Photo http://www.twitter.com/robfrith http://www.acorn.com.au

Caught up with Marcia here. Saw the silk ikats show. Ate in the formally attractive/functionally unattractive café. Orlando enjoyed the smart escalators. Actually I did too. Robert Frith Acorn Photo http://www.twitter.com/robfrith http://www.acorn.com.au

Is it just me or does chef Michael of Burswood have designs on the top of my head? This pic by our work experience student du jour, Jemma, taken using the wondacam whilst on location at Burswood photographing food for a brand new restaurant. Fab team, Ursula Nairn styling, Dewi, Laura and Anthony from Gatecrasher, along with Toni, Kelly, Fran and Tanya from Burswood made a long day a breeze. Should I thank my Mum too? Gratified to find one can still purchase a child's bike with a 3 speed internal hub and without dual suspension. Went for a hack round Bibra Lake with Aunty Gaylene. Robert Frith Acorn Photo http://www.acorn.com.au

At the risk of sounding like an old bugger - I've lived in this neck of the woods for 2 and a half decades and never witnessed this mountainous amount of seaweed washed up in the winter storms. Should start smelling a treat in a few days. Shot with the Olympus 1030 'cause I couldn't locate the wondacam prior to the excursion. Spot of salt from the 1030's last underwater outing is creating the unsightly cloud of flare on the RHS. Have since cleaned lens (and located the wondacam) Robert Frith Acorn Photo http...

It being a rainy day I thought I'd better do a rainy day job; have been spotting some old scans in between all the other stuff. Robert Frith Acorn Photo http://www.acorn.com.au
